Their story

From the field to the mentor's seat

Growing up I played mostly all the sports… I played Hockey, Soccer, Baseball, Golf, and Lacrosse… Hockey was always number one though. With Hockey being number one all growing up, I spent most of my time playing for travel teams all across New England. In High School, I played Varsity for Lacrosse, Hockey, and Golf. I went to The Hill School in Pottstown PA where I played all these sports. After Hill, I quit all other sports to focus just on Hockey and went and played junior Hockey in Canada. I played most of my junior career in the OHL (Ontario Hockey League) before committing to college this past year.

Why they mentor

“I want to be a mentor for Athletes Better Together because throughout my athletic career I have faced a lot of obstacles with Mental Health. Everything from self doubt to anxiety I have dealt with, and I know how it feels and it’s not very fun. Actually, it can be demoralizing… But, I have always found a way to overcome the obstacles, and after hearing about Athletes Better Together, I was fired up to have the opportunity because I don’t want people to go through the anxieties I have gone through. I want to help people overcome and be the absolute best version of themselves, so that they can accomplish their dreams and goals!”
