From the field to the mentor's seat
-Played almost every sport imaginable growing up. -The big three were Lacrosse, soccer, and hockey. -town youth basketball -Club/town hockey, soccer, and lacrosse. -Laxachusetts (3rd grade all the way through high school) -Thayer academy varsity soccer and lacrosse. -Union college men’s lacrosse
Why they mentor
“I want to be a mentor because I want younger athletes to feel like they have a safe space to talk about anything related to sports. I want to be someone they can relate to and connect with. In sports growing up, I was a shy kid when I was out of my comfort zone, often times struggled with confidence (for example joining laxachusetts in third grade coming from Braintree where not many other kids played lacrosse really & going to Thayer when I didn’t know anyone at first). That was not always easy, as I didn’t really have anyone I could really go to for advice. As I grew older, I made so many connections and friends, and lacrosse became the thing I looked forward to the most and I fell in love with the game because of how much fun I began to have. Long story short, I want to be there for a younger kid who may just need a little guidance or encouragement along their journey because something little like that can really go a long way and could positively impact a kid.”
