Their story
From the field to the mentor's seat
I have played lacrosse, soccer, and I have ski raced since I was seven years old. I fell in love with lacrosse and started to play for Mass Elite Club Lacrosse in middle school. From there, I have played on the Hamilton Wenham Regional High School varsity lacrosse, soccer, and ski teams for all four years. Outside of high school, I have played on lacrosse teams such as the Massachusetts Rhode Island National team, Massachusetts American Select Team, New Balance All-America Lacrosse team, and been a part of the US National Development Program. I am going to be playing lacrosse at the University of Pennsylvania next year!
Why they mentor
“Being a student-athlete has taught me a lot about balancing school, sports, family and friends. While I feel lucky to have all of these things in my life, figuring out priorities and time management can be overwhelming at times. Talking to older athletes who had been in a similar position really helped me navigate all sorts of situations. Getting a chance to ask them questions and hearing their advice and experiences made a big difference for me, especially during the recruiting process, which can be particularly confusing and stressful. I would like to be an athletic mentor for Athletes Better Together because it would be an honor to be someone younger athletes can turn to for advice, support, and reassurance as they go through the same challenges.”
