Their story
From the field to the mentor's seat
Although I am now a college lacrosse player, when I was younger I was a international level figure skater for 13 years. After my skating career came to a halt, one of my skating friends recommended picking up a lacrosse stick. As soon as I started playing, I was hooked. This happened right before the beginning of COVID, so I knew something needed to happen if I wanted to continue playing. My junior and senior year I was blessed with the opportunity to go to IMG Academy in Florida and play lacrosse there, leading me to play at Saint Leo University my freshman year, and now Adelphi University, now going into my senior year.
Why they mentor
“I want to become a mentor because I know firsthand so many things that an athlete goes through at their young developmental ages, and through both skating and lacrosse I have seen what the struggles are like at the very top of the totem pole and at the bottom. Mental health and performance in athletes is my absolute passion and what I plan to continue to do for the rest of my life, and there is no better way or time to start than now and through here.”
